Events Coordinator

Purpose: 
The Events Coordinator is a full-time position with the Callaway Chamber of Commerce, reporting directly to the CEO of the Chamber.  The position will organize event programs for the Chamber that result in achieving the organization’s vision and mission.
 
Reporting:
This position will report directly to the Chamber CEO.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Project Management for all events as assigned that are well attended and organized. Events include Small Business Nominee, Business Breakfast and After Hours, Annual Banquet, Town and Country, Annual Golf Tournament, Teachers Appreciation Breakfast, New Members Reception, Shop Local Programs (Lovin Local and Holiday Advent) and Chamber Olympics
  • Create, develop, and implement creative ways to promote the Chamber and Fulton Area Development Foundation through programs and events.
  • Oversee the Chamber Ambassador Program
  • Ensure new members receive adequate resources to assist in building their business, including new membership packets deliveries.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CEO.
 
Successful Candidates:
  • Will be goal driven
  • Have proven ability to work within a budget
  • Ability to work independently with only administrative oversight
  • Strong organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Must have/maintain a dependable vehicle with proof of license and insurance
  • Proficient in MS office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Canva
  • Work in a team environment
  • Maintain confidentiality when working on projects
  • Maintain good working relationships with Chamber members and others in the community
  • Motivated with exceptional communication skills
  • Maintain a positive, friendly image as a Chamber representative
 
 
 
Education & Experience:
  • 1 to 3- year prior experience in event planning
