Correctional Officer
Corrections Officer
It’s more than just a job. It’s a calling. Corrections employees transform lives, equipping Missourians in the criminal justice system with the skills they need to contribute to their communities, inside and outside of our walls. More than 95% of people who enter the prison system will ultimately be released. We want to make sure they are good neighbors.
A Corrections Officer is responsible for maintaining safety and security inside a correctional facility. Corrections Officers oversee offenders and manage daily activities and should be able to respond and provide solutions to emergencies and situations.
