Job Summary:
As a Manager, Press Operations, you will lead, guide and direct Press Operations to meet customer demand, timelines and the profitability plans of the company.
Essential Functions:
- Develop strategies to improve efficiencies across the department.
- Work with staff to reduce material waste, and rework annually.
- Continuously promote a safe work environment, and good housekeeping procedures.
- Develop standard operating procedures for Press Operations.
- Implement continuous preventative maintenance program on all equipment.
- Develop proper training for both supervisors and employees.
- Supply supervisors and employees with the essential tools needed to perform their jobs successfully.
- Develop and implement ways to improve processes and procedures.
- Coach, teach, educate and develop supervisors and give performance appraisals.
- Work with staff to implement standards for both quality and production.
- Implement a Quality Control policy in departments.
- Ensure all supervisors enforce all company policies and treat employees fairly and consistently.
- Work with vendors to ensure good quality products are used and improved on as technologies change.
- Work with Human Resources to resolve employee issues.
- Set, communicate, post and monitor annual goals giving the departments regular feedback on their progress.
- Ensure all accountabilities are in place and followed up on in each department.

- Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.
- Must successfully complete any training or certification courses required to support or strengthen position.
- Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.
- Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows based databases.
- Hands on Technical experience with Off-set web presses (Goss M600 Preferred)
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field and six years’ experience in Press Operations or a related function OR
- Associate degree in Business, Finance or a related field and eight years’ experience in Press Operations or a related function OR
- High School Diploma or GED and ten years’ experience in Press Operations or a related function
