The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven professional to serve as Director of Missouri Chamber Advantage, the Missouri Chamber’s affinity program platform supporting employer benefit solutions across the state.

This leadership role oversees the Missouri Chamber Benefit Plan, a growing multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA), along with additional affinity programs designed to deliver value to Missouri employers and local chambers.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in insurance brokerage, employee benefits administration or health plan program management, along with a passion for expanding access to high-quality benefit solutions for businesses statewide.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership & Administration

  • Serve as plan administrator for the Chamber Benefit Plan.
  • Oversee operations of the Missouri Chamber’s affinity programs to ensure alignment with organizational strategic goals.
  • Manage contracts and authorize transactions related to the benefit plan and other programs.
  • Oversee administration including employer participation tracking, membership verification and responding to program inquiries.
  • Manage the Chamber Benefit Plan Trust Board of Directors and support board governance processes.

Broker & Industry Engagement

  • Lead statewide outreach to insurance brokers and benefits professionals to expand participation in the Chamber Benefit Plan.
  • Develop and implement recognition opportunities for top-producing brokers.
  • Serve as a key relationship manager between brokers, participating employers and local chambers.

Growth & Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute a marketing and growth strategy to expand employer participation in Missouri Chamber Advantage programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and local chambers to promote program awareness and participation.
  • Support events, meetings and outreach initiatives related to affinity programs and broker engagement.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure the Chamber Benefit Plan operates in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Maintain documentation, procedures and operational processes to support program integrity and transparency.

Ideal Background:

  • Employee benefits consulting or brokerage
  • Health insurance program administration
  • MEWA or association health plan management
  • Insurance carrier or benefits program operations
  • Employer benefits strategy and compliance

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Strong relationship-building skills with brokers and employer clients
  • Knowledge of employee benefits programs and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to manage complex programs with multiple stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking combined with strong operational execution

A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, health administration or a related field is preferred, but solid experience and detailed mindset matter most.
