State Farm Agent Team Member – Sales & Service Associate
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused team member to join our State Farm agency. This position combines insurance sales, customer service, and account management. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is comfortable discussing insurance needs and coverage options, and takes ownership of providing excellent service to our customers.
As a Sales & Service Associate, you will help both new and existing customers with their insurance needs while identifying opportunities to better protect customers and grow the agency.
Primary Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Development

  • Respond to new customer inquiries and prepare insurance quotes.
  • Follow up with prospects and customers regarding quotes and coverage needs.
  • Identify opportunities to offer appropriate State Farm products based on customer needs.
  • Conduct insurance and account reviews with existing customers.
  • Cross-sell additional products when appropriate, including auto, home, renters, life, health, and other available products.
  • Meet established activity and production goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer conversations, follow-ups, and sales activities.
Customer Service & Account Management
  • Provide friendly, professional service by phone, text, email, and in person.
  • Assist customers with policy questions, coverage changes, billing questions, payments, and general account needs.
  • Process policy changes and follow up to ensure requests are completed accurately.
  • Assist customers with claim-related questions and help direct them to appropriate State Farm resources.
  • Review customer accounts for potential coverage gaps and opportunities for improved protection.
  • Follow up on cancellations, non-payments, underwriting requests, and other account-related items.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy insurance office.
  • Comfortable using computers, email, phone systems, and customer management software.
  • Previous insurance, sales, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must obtain and maintain all insurance licenses required for the position.
