As Shipping Clerk, your role is to carefully handle every order from start to finish—picking, packing, and shipping. Your attention to detail ensures products arrive safely and in great condition.

Key Tasks

Picking
-
Choose the correct products from the right locations based on customer orders. Use the warehouse management system to help ensure accuracy.

Packing
-
Check that packing materials are good quality and fit for the product being shipped, as well as follow client instructions as appropriate.

Shipping
-
Work with carriers to arrange pickups and deliveries. Print shipping labels, manifests, and other documents, making sure to follow shipping rules, including special instructions from clients when needed.

Kitting

Pack several items together into kits or bundles for customers.

Stocking

Place received items into picking locations to keep stock levels balanced and follow inventory management rules. Check with management for support as needed.

Communication

Work with internal teams to fix order problems or follow special instructions.

Problem Solving

Quickly deal with shipping issues, whether they're internal or customer-related. Work with Shipping Leads to prevent future problems and improve processes.

Safety and Compliance

Follow all safety rules when handling and shipping products and goods. Keep the warehouse safe for everyone.

Measuring Success

Maintain High Accuracy: Perform picking, packing, and shipping tasks with fewer than 1% errors to maintain accuracy.
Order Age Compliance: Keep track of how long orders sit in ShipStation. Make sure all orders ship within 2 days. If any orders take longer, address them immediately to keep things on track.
