Holts Summit, Missouri, 3/12/2026 – After more than six years of dedicated service to the City of Holts Summit, City Administrator Brandon Ruediger has announced his retirement from public service, effective March 15, 2026.
Ruediger joined the City of Holts Summit in January of 2020 and worked closely with the Mayor, Board of Aldermen, city staff, local businesses, and residents to strengthen city operations, improve infrastructure, and guide responsible community growth.
During his tenure, the City of Holts Summit experienced significant progress across multiple areas of city government. Key accomplishments during this time include strengthening the city’s financial stability through responsible budgeting and long-term financial planning, investing in critical infrastructure improvements, enhancing public safety operations and equipment, modernizing internal administrative systems, and improving transparency and communication with residents.
Under Ruediger’s leadership, the city also focused on improving operational efficiency and strengthening internal policies to better support employees and ensure effective delivery of services to residents. Efforts were made to modernize technology systems, improve fleet and facility management practices, and expand safety and risk management initiatives for city departments.
Ruediger also worked to strengthen partnerships throughout the region and support the continued growth of the local business community. By fostering collaboration with local organizations, business leaders, and community groups, the city continued to build momentum as an attractive and growing community within Callaway County.
Reflecting on his time with the city, Ruediger expressed deep appreciation for the people who helped move the community forward.
“Serving the City of Holts Summit has been one of the greatest honors of my professional career,” said Ruediger. “I want to sincerely thank the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen for their leadership, trust, and support throughout the years. Their commitment to this community has played a major role in the progress the city has achieved.”
Ruediger also recognized the dedication of city employees who serve the community every day.
“Our city employees are truly the backbone of this organization. Their professionalism, work ethic, and pride in serving the public make Holts Summit a better place to live and work. It has been a privilege to work alongside such a talented and committed group of public servants.”
He also acknowledged the role of the community in the city’s continued success.
“I am incredibly grateful to the many local business owners and citizens who care deeply about this community and who have helped guide its growth. The willingness of residents to stay engaged and support their local government is what truly makes Holts Summit special.”
As he concludes his public service career, Ruediger says he remains proud of the work accomplished and confident in the city’s future.
“Holts Summit is a community filled with opportunity, strong leadership, and people who genuinely care about their city. I am thankful for the friendships and partnerships built during my time here and look forward to seeing the community continue to grow and succeed in the years ahead.”
