JCMG Awards $5,000 in Scholarships to Aspiring Health Science Students
Jefferson City, Mo. – Jefferson City Medical Group (JCMG) proudly celebrates the next generation of healthcare professionals by awarding five exceptional Cole County high school graduates each with $1,000 scholarships. These scholarships are designed to support students pursuing higher education toward a career in the field of health sciences. JCMG’s scholarships reflect the organization’s commitment to fostering educational opportunities and promoting excellence in healthcare. By investing in these students, JCMG aims to inspire and nurture future leaders who will make significant contributions to the medical community and enhance patient care—hopefully here in our own community.
Listed below are the 2026 JCMG Health Sciences Scholarship recipients:
- Samantha Christian of Helias Catholic High School plans to attend Lincoln University to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner in emergency medicine.
- Ethan Wunderlich of Eugene Cole R-V High School plans to attend the University of Missouri on a pre-med/pre-dental track.
- Jaden Jenkins of Russellville High School will attend Evangel University to pursue a degree in occupational therapy.
- Sophia Wormington of Jefferson City High School plans to attend Loyola University Chicago to study research-focused medicine with an emphasis in women’s health.
- Shay Linhardt of Blair Oaks High School will attend the University of Missouri to pursue a career in orthopedic surgery specializing in sports medicine.
Scholarship winners were selected based on their outstanding academic achievements, commitment to community service, and aspirations in health science-related fields. The selection process also considered their thoughtfully crafted essays and reference letters from respected members of their community. JCMG extends heartfelt congratulations to these scholarship winners and wishes them continued success as they pursue careers dedicated to caring for others.
