Brake Press Operator – 2nd Shift Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Brake Press Operator, you'll play a crucial role in shaping and fabricating metal parts to meet detailed specifications. You'll set up and operate a variety of fabricating machines, ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety. You’ll work Monday through Thursday, 4 PM to 2:30 AM – so you’ll have Fridays off for a long weekend every week!

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 1-2 years of experience operating brake presses or other fabricating machines.
- HS diploma or GED, preferred.
- Familiarity with blueprints and precision instruments like calipers, scales, and micrometers.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Forklift experienced, preferred not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a safe work environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Gather necessary materials and perform layouts based on job specifications.
- Set up and operate fabricating machines, including press brakes, shears, ironworkers, saws, and punch presses.
- Monitor machine feed and speed during the machining process for optimal performance.
- Measure, examine, and test completed units to ensure they meet specifications, using precision instruments.
- Refer to blueprints and collaborate with team leads to understand job requirements.
- Dispose of scrap and waste materials according to company policies and environmental standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
